Fences we install
Four common fence types, each drawn to scale. We also hang gates, repair damaged sections and paint fences.
Wood privacy
Boards side by side, no gaps, on wood posts. Can be stained or painted.
Vinyl
Panels between vinyl posts. Nothing to paint.
Aluminum
Open pickets between rails. You still see the yard.
Chain link
Woven wire on steel posts with a top rail. Usually the lowest cost per foot.
Drawings show sample section sizes. For other fence types, call us.
Before anyone digs
In Illinois outside the City of Chicago, any digging needs a call to JULIE first, fence posts included. Call 811 (or 800-892-0123) at least two working days ahead; the day you call does not count. It is free. Inside Chicago city limits, 811 reaches 811 Chicago instead.
The utilities then mark the lines they own with paint and flags. Private lines, like sprinklers, are not marked. Posts go where the lines are not.
Fence height limits and permits differ by village and by HOA. Check your village and HOA rules before you pick a height.
